They may have the best jobs in South Africa, but you’ll be without your identity and a whole pile of crap richer if you respond to some of the jobs advertised on there!
A friend of mine in the recruitment business notified me of this scam running on there. He has tried in absolute vain to get BestJobs.co.za involved and to stop it, but they simply ignored his requests and they are unreachable by phone.
Here is what happens:
You see a jobs advertised by the scammer.
You apply for the job and an email are sent to the “recruiter” who advertised the job. Only the recruiter is a scammer and not a recruiter at all…
You receive 2 emails back immediately after your email reached theirs. These two emails are auto-responders.
The one is from a company called Mustangs:
Hello Name Surname,
We received a response from you regarding an advertised, vacant position.
We now need your full detailed CV, a copy of your ID document, reference letters, any certificates or documents that may verify your education as well as an introduction letter from yourself.
Please forward this to us at Fax: 0866591800
Try your best to forward this info to us, as soon as possible, because we will only be able to process your application after receipt of this information.
We look forward to hear from you, as soon as possible.
A very pleasant day to you, and..
Regards
From your Recruitment Team at

Then you receive another from Aggies Recruitment Services:

On receipt of this documentation we will process your application.

Aggies Recruiting Service
So what happens is unsuspecting job seekers send them all this sensitive personal information, but never hear from them again. Ever. They now have a copy of your ID, know basically everything about you from your CV and have the perfect setup to run scams with your identity.
If you look closely at the second email, you will see it is sent from a domain called aggies.com. Therefore the name Aggies Recruitment Service. However if you go to aggies.com, you would find that it is just another free email account service. It does make the company Aggies Recruitment Service look legit in a way.
The sad thing is that BestJobs.co.za are not prepared to even respond to warnings about these scammers. They choose to ignore it. So let this be a warning to all job seekers:
BE VERY CAREFUL SENDING ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION TO COMPANIES YOU HAVE NOT SEEN OR SPOKEN TO AT LEAST!

I agree with Heinrich. I personally sent at least 10 emails to the so called administrators of http://www.bestjobs.co.za. I also tried to call them on numberous occasions. I gave them concrete examples of companies registered on their websites who were advertising fake jobs. My evidence was absolutely clear and it showed these companies to be scammers. All bestjobs needed to do was a tiny bit of homework to confirm what I was saying was true, delete the offending jobs and disable the account. They chose to do nothing and in so doing they assisted the criminals. Now the likes of George and Habor wish to claim that they can’t be held responsible for what people post of their sites. I think they can.

regarding the statement that you made regarding the apparent loan that I took from Greatjobsdiary.com The amount that were required for my traveling to Australia were outside of my Budget and i was busy cancelling the whole deal.Frank otieno sent me an email in which he said he will pay in the shortfall and upon recieving my refund I must just hand the amount over to his agent in melbourne
If they are so ligitimate why is Frank Otieno still in their employment ?
Why did nt they refund me the money I paid in good faith for traveling to dubai and melbourne (And i do have the original transfer slips)

Regarding the Grampian police in Aberdeen , there is no company at the address given by greatjobsdiary.com and the area code is also false so now i would like to know how ligitimate you are in this matter???My case has been registerred with my local police which has turned the case over to an international concern dealing with scammer and the likes of greatjobsdiary.com

I am not very sure when you apply for a job and you are required to send some money to the agent for them to process your application
Philip 6:15 pm on November 30, 2009 Permalink |
I was not asked to send money for them to process my application, rather i was asked to bore my traveling expenses upfront, which i was refunded immediately i arrived Abu Dhabi. My refund was intact before i even start interview. I have searched every where for reports about greatjobsdiary.com and this is the only place where i saw negative complaint. And the complaints are from one person, does this mean that the company had defrauded just one person , or does it mean that the one person is not telling the truth?
Although i was skeptical in the first place when i was asked to arrange my interview plans upfront, but it finally was a great experience. I met over 4 different applicants during my trip to Abu Dhabi for their interview, so i am sure i wasnt just lucky.
My advice is for anyone to follow his mind and instincts while doing anything whatsoever.

Greatjobs dairy is absolutelly a scam. firstly they will ask you all info and then upfront money which is claimming to be refundable bt realy not. They don’t have any physical address. Look at the webside. No land line phone number. Greatjobsdairy will never give you about employer and job details. If you don’t send them money they will keep rescheduling interview date and will tell you lots of bla bla. The person call MUsuf is representing from Scotland. Acording to local police report there is no old Craig Shaw road and address is fake. Any one challenge me can show you the confidential report I got last week. If you want to give them money they will give you a Malaysian HSBC bank account number account holder is a middle age woman stay at home when I rang her she said that she run the travel business I asked the name she declined. This means they are fake. First time she said she is n office but her baby was crying and she said she came home to have some rest and going back. it as 3:30 PM. No one allowed to leave office this time. IC 3 intenet based fraud investigation company is currently investigating greatjobsdairy.
Scotish police and police suggest me not to give them any money. and allegation is handling by CIB.
Musuf is aguy still asking me for money and telleing lots of different stories. Look at there email address. No specificpersons name there. How funny. They send me some documents to sign and fax them but no fax number. Also no mailing address details, The company registred in Switgerland and operating in UK.

Hello Ben
Yes, you do have an outstanding amount in our records, but let me make things clearer to you so we could function effectively well.
The amount you have in our accounts is been scheduled for your proposed interview to UAE which is still in process. The amount can be refunded to you if you apply for a refund, of which it will take 28 working days for the refund application to be effected, after which 100% of the said amount would be returned to you if the refund was necessitated due to a cancellation of an interview by greatjobsdiary.com or its assigned agents, but if the refund is as a direct responsibility of the applicant, greatjobsdiary.com only returns 75% of the said amount.
I wish there is anything else I could help you with, but I am practically incapacitated to make any decision since the orders came directly from my superiors. I would have helped out if the applications were directly from me, but since the employers has entered their vacancy/openings in our billing sheet, the routine MUST follow greatjobsdiary.com rules and regulations.
The message I relayed to you was exactly what I got from our accounts/billing department, it is quite beyond what I can meddle with. I don’t make the rules, I would have heeded to your request if I were in anyway closer to making a decision of this kind.
You have an alternative to pay directly to our resident agent who is responsible for making your trip arrangements via other faster and alternative means/mode of payment which can relayed to you if you so decide to.
From my own point of view as your assigned agent, I would suggest you do all you can to meet up with greatjobsdiary.com in-house requirement so as to complete your application process.
Failures to meet up with the requirement within a reasonable time frame, would automatically lead to cancellation of your application for the position, and subsequently finding a replacement for the position.
I had around 3 other matching CV/Resumes for the positions, but since you have been assigned to me, moreover due to the un-anticipated delays encountered in your previous interview arrangement, I had to consult you first before anyone else.
So do the best you can, and save the day.
Kind Regards
Frank Otieno

Hello Ben
Yes you are expected to arrive for the interview on Sunday 23rd of august; the exact date for the interview is scheduled to run through 23rd till 29th of August 2009.
I was sent a copy of a message which I believe was addressed to you from our accounts/billing department, so do let me know if you did get the message.
From the message, you are not required to procure the airfares; rather greatjobsdiary.com resident agent for Asia pacific is expected to do same.
Do let me know if you need more clarifications.
Kind Regards
Frank Otieno
You know what Philip (if thats your name?) I personally think you are a big cog in this scam wheel.I was contacted by Frank a couple of days ago at first he claims that its not him thats withhelding my money but greatjobsdiary.com As a attorney im sure he should know that he is the responcible person of the company?and Im sure that that he knows that its against the law to threaten people with stashing drugs in their houses but thanx to technology i could record the conversation and that is currently part of the investigation But it pleases me for him to make the effort to contact me as this shows me that this site is preventing others for falling for his scam

I believe gretjobsdairy is fake and scamer. I received email was requested all my documents including passport copy and USD 470. 00 which is said to be refundable. I sent everything accept money . It was also told that I need to do everything before /on 22 March 2010 and my interview is scheduled on 27 March 2101 in Abu Dhabi. but there is no further information the person is handling this as well as no local representatives. this phone number was given to contact Musuf Abbasi on, +447011136498 but why is it in UK. and bank address in Malaysia.
I send an email to Ben and he replied me that he had been cheat the same way and the case is handling by federal investigation bureau affiliated IC3. so like me if you have concern please fill out this form internet and submit your complain.

Yes. I got another email today. Asking for the upfront and want to reschedule the interview date. According to local police report the address is fake. I got from local police station and will contact to them again through email if I don’t get any more details. Read my other email I posted today. Pplice suggest me not to give them any money. This is same as Dubai Jobs.com

Omar I saw this same case. I had investigated the website before and the owners and my first impression was that it was clean. Afterwhile, looking with more detail I am not really sure. Or they have a very low professional standard. They ask for personal documents that we should not disclose in this way, that we have no identification and guarantee from the other party. In this case I advise you to not proceed or problems may come in your next visa application.

I am sorry for your loss, pains and deceptions.
I really regret my actions and involvement in such activities, and I hope that you would find it in your heart to forgive me.
