    Bad options are great influencers

I just watched this fascinating TEDTalk video by Dan Ariely titled “Are we in control of our decisions?”. What is interesting is the experiments he’s done. What it boils down to is that if you give someone options to choose, by adding a crap option you can influence people’s decision. It is also quite scary to see how easily we can be influenced. How we trust other people like doctors to make life altering decisions when they can just as easily be influenced.

On the talk itself, highly entertaining! Enjoy it, you will :) Trust me, it is 20 minutes well spent!

Slow down. There is another world inside Time.

I found this video over at Wired.com. It is absolutely amazing! Is it not interesting how short sighted we are? At normal speed we are incapable to grasp how amazing it is for a little humming bird to drink nectar in flight. Slow time down and you see the astounding precision that it uses. Technology is amazing, isn’t it?

I think it would do us the world of good to slow down every once in a while. Who knows, you may just discover a new world.

HIV data visuals from 1983 to 2007

I love TED. It is one of the most brilliant initiatives ever. This video is one of the most interesting on HIV worldwide and the disease’s impact on Africa. What is most shocking is watch who stands out like a pimple on a supermodel butt in the visuals.

I do agree with his solution. Prevention is key as opposed to treatment. Great and entertaining presentation also. Makes this grim subject more entertaining, so to speak.

Rare video of the Ninja Art of Zen Deceit

The little ninja guy practiced the ancient Ninjitsu Art of Zen Deceit last night and I was privileged to capture it on video. I risked life and limb, but can thankfully say, all is hanging that should be hanging. :P

The Art of Zen Deceit is a cunning, deceitful way of tricking one’s adversaries in believing you are in an heightened state of meditation and awareness, when you’re actually sleeping. This is an art rarely mastered, so it is seldom witnessed.

I have a feeling though that should this exposé reach the little ninja guy I’m going to spend my evenings and mornings ducking shuriken.
