WordPress 2.8 doesn’t play nice with my theme :(
by Stii
I’m temporarily reverted back to my old theme. When I upgraded to WordPress 2.8 I got a very obscure problem with the Ajax functions when writing a new post. Not much useful information other than:
'Syntax error, unrecognized expression: [@href^='#']'
Big help that is! :P I’ll debug the bugger soon when I have more time and had some decent sleep… If any of you have any suggestions in the meantime, they will be more than welcome!

Tiny, daai is ‘n no-brainer IMHO! WordPress all the way.
Man, I’ve heard a lot of problems with 2.8, but check this out: iMod crashed about a week ago, so I upgraded from 2.3.1 to 2.8 and didn’t encounter any problems, can you believe that?!?!
Trust me, iMod’s 90% custom coded/hacked.
Amazed.
I’m no regex wizard by any means but maybe there’s a character or two that needs to be escaped to work correctly with the new version of WP? Stab in the dark, my 2c.
Chris, I am truly amazed! :) You were lucky this round.
Deems, it has something to do with jQuery and selectors. Apparently the @ is deprecated from version 1.3.x onwards. Thing is, finding the bugger that causes the problem proves to be painful. I suspect it is in one of the packed javascripts in my theme… bugger :(
